A treatment brief from VidaVital Medical

Hair restoration, root-cause first.

Personalized treatments that target the root cause of thinning — not just the surface.

Struggling with thinning hair? Most off-the-shelf treatments focus on symptoms. Our approach starts with identifying the cause — hormonal, nutritional, autoimmune, or pattern-related — and matches the treatment to it.

— The program

Four phases, one continuous care arc.

Most hair restoration products skip the diagnostic. We don't. Every plan starts with identifying the cause and ends with measurable results.

PHASE 01WEEK 0

Intake & scalp exam

Physician consult, hair history, family pattern, current routine.

PHASE 02WEEK 1

Diagnostic labs

Thyroid, hormones, ferritin, vitamin D, autoimmune markers.

PHASE 03WEEK 2+

Protocol & start

Personalized plan combining oral, topical, and/or PRP. Baseline photos taken.

PHASE 04MONTH 3+

Re-eval & refine

Photo comparison, lab follow-up, dose or protocol adjustments.

— Eligibility & safety

The honest answer to “is it for me?”

Hair restoration works best when matched to the cause. Here is the criteria your physician will use, and the cases where we'll refer out.

Typical fitMOST APPLICANTS

You are likely a candidate if…

  • +Pattern hair loss (male or female) with visible thinning
  • +Recent rapid shedding or noticeable change
  • +Open to a diagnostic workup before treatment
  • +Comfortable with 3–6 month evaluation timeline
  • +Cleared by primary care for elective therapies
Not a fit / use cautionWE'LL TELL YOU

We'll redirect care if…

  • Active scarring alopecia (referral to dermatology)
  • Recent chemotherapy — we'll wait until cleared
  • Pregnancy or planning pregnancy (for finasteride/minoxidil)
  • Untreated autoimmune condition driving hair loss
  • Unrealistic expectations about regrowth
SAFETY Side effects vary by therapy. Oral minoxidil and finasteride have specific profiles we discuss in consult. PRP risks are minimal (bruising, soreness). We screen for contraindications before prescribing. Speak with a physician

Eight months on PRP + oral. The photos, not the marketing.

Featured · PRP + minoxidil 8 months
I'd tried over-the-counter shampoos for years. VidaVital actually ran labs, found my ferritin was low, and built a plan around that. Eight months in, the photos speak for themselves.

— Frequently asked

The questions everyone asks on a consult.

Nothing here replaces a conversation with your physician. But it should clear the most common confusion before you book.

01How long until I see results?+

Most patients see meaningful change in 3–6 months. Reduced shedding comes first (4–8 weeks), then density and regrowth. We take standardized baseline photos so progress is measurable, not just felt.

02Does PRP actually work?+

For appropriate candidates, yes. PRP uses your own platelets and growth factors to stimulate follicles. Best results come from 3–4 sessions over several months, then maintenance. We'll be honest if PRP isn't likely to help in your case.

03Will I need to be on treatment forever?+

Most hair restoration treatments require ongoing maintenance. Stop the medication and the underlying pattern often returns. We discuss long-term plans during your intake.

04Are oral minoxidil and finasteride safe?+

Both have decades of safety data. Oral minoxidil is generally well-tolerated; finasteride has specific side effects we review in consult. We monitor for issues and adjust as needed.

05Is this covered by insurance?+

Hair restoration treatments are typically considered elective and not covered. Generic medications are affordable. The membership is HSA/FSA eligible.
